Shackleton Bookmark – In the darkening twilight

In the darkening Twilight I saw a lone star hover, gemlike above the bay.
These were the last words written by Ernest Shackleton, in his diary, before he died in 1922, in South Georgia.
Bookmark handprinted by letterpress on 250g Awagami Bamboo Paper, with 18pt Caslon type (Shackleton used 14 pt Caslon on the book Aurora Australis, which is quite small type so I have used 18pt).

  • Printed with black rubber-based ink with a screenprint of 2 penguins which was Shackleton’s trademark.
