Meet Angelina

I work across Ireland’s Ancient East with community, heritage, and art-based projects that bring Irish language, culture, and heritage to life in all kinds of ways.

I love expressing my passion for Ireland’s language, heritage, and culture through the designs and experiences I create, and my socially engaged practice is based on collaboration with groups who have a shared interest in heritage and sustainability.

Art is for everyone, in my view, and so I encourage arts participation for all ages, sharing the enjoyment and practice of art in exciting visitor experiences and hands-on projects that raise awareness of the beauty around us and give people a powerful sense of their own creativity!

Inspired by Ireland’s Ancient East

I grew up in Co Kildare on magical stories from my Granny and Aunt Nellie who told me of the Bog, The Curragh, and Fionn MaCumhaill. Between them, they filled my heart with curiosity about history and travel!

My parents ran a bus company, so from a young age with my large family I regularly helped to introduce visitors from across the world to the treasures of Kildare and Ireland as a whole. We were taught to notice, respect, and enjoy every aspect of the world around us, from the thoroughbred horses we saw racing at the Curragh to the quieter places where traces of the past were always close at hand.

I have lived across and travelled the world, and I have always enjoyed experiencing new places and cultures, but what I love most is connecting with my own place, its language, and its rich culture and sharing that with others in ways that are inspiring, thought-provoking and fun!
