Awagami Shirakaba White Paper

Shirakaba is one of Awagami’s heavier types of washi paper. This paper is an excellent choice for relief-type printmaking (lino & woodcut, letterpress), intaglio printmaking such as etching and drypoint, and mixed-media works such as bookmaking too. Illustrators often enjoy drawing on the smoother side of Shirakaba while printmakers may prefer the papers’ softer side for its unique print + embossing quality. One of my favourite papers and it has a fabulous imprint for letterpress, it is white but not super white like Masa. Similar in my opinion to Awagami Shiramine paper but sold in larger sheets which makes it very economical.
Very large sheets – 100g/m² – 109,1x78cm
The minimum order for all paper is 5 sheets. Due to postage restrictions, I can only deliver within Ireland (flat fee of €6 for paper whether quantity 1 or 100) Please do not order less than 5 sheets or order outside the island of Ireland, I cannot stop these orders due to how my online shop is set up.
