Take part in a creative book-making workshop for Heritage Week & August Craft Month.

The focus of this workshop is primarily to create memory notebooks, but each participant will have time to try their hand at letterpress printing, to include the theme of memory.

We will provide a brief overview of the historical significance of the  press before you print your own memory-themed notebook covers and an inside title page. We have the option to print in Irish and English, provided the letters have no fada.

Create a book for your memories with a memorable day of creativity!

Workshop highlights:

  • Create a hand stitched A5 notebook with letterpress printed cover.
  • We will typeset and print a poem related to memory, we will create an edition between the group to learn the process.
  • Learn the art of letterpress printing and make a simple notebook to take home.
  • Focusing on basic book structures, come and learn simple folds and bindings.
  • This group is limited to 6 people.
  • No previous letterpress printing or bookbinding experience required.
  • Take a tech detox and immerse yourself in this hands on art workshop

Comfortable clothes and shoes are ideal for this workshop, where we will be working with inks. Wear things you won’t mind picking up marks!
