This space will host a growing calendar of projects, education programmes and events designed to unite through water. The tiny micro moth we chanced upon during our Moth Trapping morning with Athy Sing & Sign for Future Ancestor 2026 became our brand colours of purple and gold. Like this tiny moth (half the size of a grain of rice), change has small beginnings.

Connecting with Berba

The people and communities along the Barrow-Nore Special Area of Conservation (Berba) and all her tributaries and interconnected waterways.

The river flows without regard for borders; following its lead, we are inspired by indigenous storytelling and the principles of bioregionalism. Our goal is to launch and sustain ecological initiatives that ripple from the mountains all the way to the Celtic Sea, fostering a shared sense of stewardship for our waters. Since we began this journey with Berba over three years ago, many other river and water stories have come to light, including the story of the River Griese and Berba’s sisters, Nore and Suir. What started with Berba has inspired us to develop a place-based water education programme.
