Take part in a creative book-making workshop for Heritage Week & August Craft Month.
The focus of this workshop is primarily to create memory notebooks, but each participant will have time to try their hand at letterpress printing, to include the theme of memory.
We will provide a brief overview of the historical significance of the press before you print your own memory-themed notebook covers and an inside title page. We have the option to print in Irish and English, provided the letters have no fada.
Create a book for your memories with a memorable day of creativity!
Workshop highlights:
All materials included within reason (we will be using a variety of quality recycled papers, Japanese Awagami papers, lined papers, waxed thread, non-toxic sustainable paints, rubber-based letterpress ink) Tea, coffee, biccies included.
Feel free to bring your own paper or sketches, writing, photos and anything you wish to include.
Some of the people who join us at the workshops may be practising creatives and others will be absolute beginners. All are welcome! You just need to bring an open mind and you will create something you will cherish.
